Loving pencil work

I'm still on my kick of working with pencil, keeping my ATC's black and white. The last face I did turned out really well, at least I think so. I've never been confident in drawing life like pictures but I'm not doing to bad. Here's the newest edition to my life like drawings.

Just a face

Okay so I decided that just one pencil ATC wasn't enough so I had to do another one. This one is a little more simple, just a face but very little detail, just enough to know what it is. Sorry for the black specs on the pic, it seems that there are a few scratches on the glass of my scanner :(

Pencil work

I remember in school I used to love working with pencil, creating stunning pictures in black and white. I decided, while sitting bored at my computer, that I would see if I still could create something using pencils. After about twenty minutes or so, including time to decide what to draw, here's what I came up with :)

Busy life and new artwork

Things have been a little crazy lately...work every day, snow and ice storms, bitter cold, and still finding time to look for a new house, which has been unsucessful thus far. Dispite everything that has been going on I have had a chance to squeeze in some time to work on a few ATC's. These have been done for a Zetti Valentine swap. I though long and hard on what I wanted to do and figured I didn't want to do the normal zetti, if there is such a thing. I guess I just didn't want to take some papers, figures and whatever else I could find and put it on a card. So I decided to hand draw them...then came the issue of what and how to draw them since most Zetti cards are wild and crazy. Here's what I came up with :)

So I decided I should do something more creative with my time...not like I don't already have a full plate...

I realized a few days ago that I really miss my art work and that I should start creating again. I tend to go between projects a lot and I have several started but I always love to draw, paint ect. I have a few days off of work for the holidays and as I was sitting at my computer I grabbed and ATC sized piece of paper and began to doodle, the first time in a long time. As I put the pen to paper I just let my mind go. I didn't really have any idea of what to draw, other than it was going to be totaly random.

Along with drawing I was surfing the net. Something else to take up time while I'm off of work. I stumbled across so wonderful blogs about artwork, ATC's, and ideas for artwork and I figured, it's about time I start one, for nothing else but to get some things off my mind when I need to and to show off my artwork :)

So with my first post, here is my first finished ATC after a very long creative break...
